Miss Amy Castles and her company arrived at the Bluff on Monday by the Ulimaroa. ; ; Mr J. M. Johnston, of Palnierston North, has been offered and has ; accepted, the position of secretary to the Racing Commission, the first sitting of which is to be held at Wanganui on March 3rd. Mr J. D. Cruichshank, until recently in Masterton, has intimated his intention of becoming' a, candidate for one of the Wairarapa seats oh the Wellington Harbour Board. Advice hns been received that Mr F. Wyndham Maunsell, son of Mr .J. F. Maunsell, of "Eridge,"MMaste r ton, has secured his M.B. degree-at the Cambridge University.. Mr Maunsell has been only two years and one term at the University. 1 Messrs Drysdale and Vickers, two gentlemen well-known in the sawmilling industry in the Wellington Province, were on a visit to Masterton yesterday.
