THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES,
The new programme of pictures at •the Foresters' Hall, last evening was greeted with a full house. An exceptionally fine 'budget of films was presented, the audience appreciating the various subjects ■ screened very much. "The Kose o' Salem Town" is one of the American Biograph Company's best studies, the scene .being laid in NorthvAmerica, and the period being in the days of the Puritans. "The Sheriff's Capture" is a story of the Wild West, and ser,ved to v introduce some splendid exhibitions 'of horsemanship. ''The Engineer's Sweetheart'' is another .capital drama, introducing exciting .situations. A line range of „sccnics were shown, some magnificent architecture and the famous Marble Garden being shown in the picture of beautiful Amalfi. The comics were an excellent lot, the hest being "Foolshead Knows All" and "Mrs Harrington's Garden Party." A good programme of music was rendered by the T.-jL\ orchestra. The pictures will be shown again to-night.
