Mr Phil. Bennettj who is leavings Masterton'to take up a position"on the staff of the' Manawatu was on Saturdayjpresented by the staff of the Wairarapa Age with a travelling bag.
Mr Clement Wragge will give a lecture in Masterton on Friday evening next. His advance representative,- Mr Victor Beck, was in town on Saturday. ... ■ / . Mr J. T. M. Hornsby intends giving a political address in th.fe Masterton, Town Hall at an early Relate. Mr' Hornsby will be the Government candidate for the Wairarapa seat at the coming election, and he thinks that by addressing a meeting in Masterton he will reach a large number of Wairarapa electors. ,
