ALTERATION IN SHOW DATES.
A CARTERTON SUGGESTION. RECOMMENDATION FOR NEW COMMITTEE. In notifying the Masterton A. and P. Association that Wednesday would be observed as a half-holiday for the "People's Day" of the show, the secretary of the Carterton Tradesmen's 'Association wrote: —"I am requested to draw your attention to the fact that all the towns in the Wairarapa observe Thursday as the half-holiday, and that considerable inconvenience is caused by,an alteration, i Kindly take this into consideration when fixing the date of your next show." The President (Mr Perry) said the Association, should, in his opinion, question in coming years of altering the date of the show from ! aild Wednesday to - Wednesday'and Thursday. It would be more convenient^for southern breeders especially, if the show were' held on Wednesday and Thursday, and he moved; that the. question of altering the show days from Tuesday and Wednesday, to Wednesday'and Thursday', and the Earn Fair to Friday and Saturday, be placed upon the. suggestion book. • ' Mr A. J. Percy seconded. ..;/:. Mr O.C. Cooper was opposed to ■the altering of the dates, as it would interfere with the Ram Fajr* Mr G.
