COMBINED ACTION PROPOSED
At a private gathering held in Wellington yesterday, after the deputation had waited upon the Minister for Railways, the Mayor of Masterton (Mr J. M. Coradina) and others spoke of the urgent necessity of forming a Railway League to further th6 v construction of East Coast railway lines and to secure the deviation of the Rimutaka., Messn.. i. Ross, Buchanan, and-Hogg,< M.'sP., I who weie present, offered to do all in their power to further such a ; project. It is probable that public meetings will be held in various centres at an early date. - >
