RAILWAY PICNIC.

Sir, — I think that if the individual who signed_ himself "Timothy" went and read the Bible instead! of poking his nose into other people's business, lie would have been looked upon by the Lord as a far better Christian. In his letter he said surely Vsome other arrangements could have been- made. Well, no other arrangements could have been made, as the trains run every day in the week except- the Sabbath day in Masterton. In many places during the summer time they run on the Sabbath day as well. If "Timothy". came down'to .the railway Station on Christmas Day and found out that the trains were not running then he would have something to write about. So we trust that in future "Timothy" will mind his own business, and not interfere again with' the railway picnics. I am, etc., ANOTHER OF THESE 1 PICNICKERS.
