A NEW TOWNSHIP.
■ A,, very, interesting announcement appears elsewhere in . our columns, regarding the cutting up of a portion of Mr Liddington's property on ■the Taratalii, just over the Waingawa bridge and close to the new Freezing Works, since it is generally admitted fact that the establishment of any large and important industry tends to promote residential settlement in the immediate vicinity. The employees at the works will have the opportunity of securing homes handy to their work, free from Borough rates and within easy reach of both Masterton and Carterton. Twelve of .the sections offered have a' frontage to the main road, and the remaining twenty lots front a new road which will be formed at an,early date. Messrs W. B. Chennells and Co., auctioneers, of this town, are entrusted with the sale, in conjunction with Messrs G. H. Perry and Co., and should have . no .difficulty, in disposing of the sections, since the prospective value of ■same will appeal at once to anyone acquainted with past subdivisions of a similar nature .in other quarters of the Dominion.
