EKETAHUNA STOCK- SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale; at Eketahuna on Friday, 27th inst.We had an extra heavy yarding of sheep, chiefly ewes: and lambs, but have to report a very dull sale. Bidding at auction dragged throughout, and vendors in most oases had to lower'their reserves; but we were successful in disposing of a number of lines privately before the day ended. Cattle were yarded in fair numbers, but the quality was not up to the usual standard, consequently prices were not as good as at late sales. We quote:— Sheep: Best woolly rape lambs, 7s, 7s 4d, 7s 6d, 7s lOd, 8s to 8s 3d; cull lambs, 3s to 4s 3d; mixed aged ewes, 7s 9d to 9s 4di; poorer sorts, 3s lOd to 6s 9d; shorn lambs, 7s 7d to 8s id. Cattle.— Yearling steers, 35s to £2 12b 6d; forward cows, £2, £3 16s to £3 19s 6d; cows in calf, to £4; weaners (mixed) 21s, 27s 6d, 31s to 355.
