OUR MAORI FRIENDS.

AT THE PARK FETE. Great interest is centring round the items by the Maoris at the •• Park Fete in Masterton on Thursday next. Many of Masterton's ■ residents have never seen a Maori haka and these will look forward with interest to their first glimpse of the Natives as they are to be found in their homes! Items are placed in both afternoon and evening programmes, so that none may bo disappointed. The Maoris rcpresenttbe Lansdowne pah are: Messrs Puliara Te Tau, Tai Te Tan, Haiata Henare, Te Wlii Tipati, Ngairo, Honehimu, Hemi Taipa. Te Ore Ore pah: Terimene Witinitara, Tewepahira. The Maori canoe being built for use on the lake is well in hand, but unfortunately will not be ready for Fete Day, and will be presented later.
