HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION.
MB DANIELL TO BE A CANDIDATE. Interviewed by a representative of the Age last night, Mr C. E. Daniell, of Masterton, stated that he intended to -iffer himself for re-election to the Wellington Harbour Board at the election in April next. Mr Daniell has now been about eight years on the Board. The Wairarapa was previously represented by Messrs M. Caselkrg and W. Booth# Under the Act passed last session, the district members of Harbour Boards will be elected under Parliamentary franchise, instead of by local bodies as heretofore. The Wairarapa district, which extends from Cape Ballisjier to .the jVfanawatu River, is entitled to two members now, in place of one under the old Act. The election will be held in April, on the same day as the municipal elections. So far, the names of more than one candidate have not been mentioned in connection with the Wairarapa seats, although it is probable a number maj be forthcoming before the day of the election.
