ANNUAL SHOW.
(By Our Special Reporter.) The nineteenth annual show of [1 the Bush Districts Agricultural and Pastoral Association, which was held i on the Woodville racecourse yester- - day, was a pronounced success. The * weather was all that could be desired for sucii a function, and the at--1 tendance, although not so large as v - was expected, was very good. The secretary (Mr Thos. R. Husband) t who has been elected since the last 7 annual show, and his assistants 1 (Messrs Eggleston and Lindauer) I carried out their arduous duties to t perfection, leaving no stone unturn--3 ed, thus practically assuring a suc- . cessful gathering. The stock exhibited, although not very numerous, i was of splendid quality, .particularly " the "J which. class Mr E. S. [. Holdaway'exhibited the champion 'l bull, and Mr S. R. Lancaster ! the [ champion cow. The judges . were 3 very pleased with th& quality of the . exhibits in this section., ; The sheep ! classes were also of good quality, ' being well up to the standard. Romneys were perhaps the strongest. Mr A. G. Pilmer and Mr Jas. Macara, of . Masterton, who' judged the horses, - , stated that they were the best , lot. II they had seen, in the district. The. jumping was very good, the ladies' hunting competition being the best. On the whole the show was a very creditable one, and the officials are to be congratulated on the success that attended tueir efforts. Following is the PRIZE LIST. . . HORSES. . A. Blyth, there being no other exhibitors. English Leicesters (Judge, Mr G. Elliott). — The classes in this section were-ram over 12 and under 21 months,, ram- lamb, ram 21 -months"; .and ov.er, ewe lamb, ewe over 12 months' and under 21 months, and ewe 21 months and over. S. R. Lancaster being the only exhibitor, ' won all the prizes, including champion ram and champion ewe. Romney Marsh (Judge, Mr' R. Tanner). — The classes for ram over 12 months and under 21 months, ram lamb, ram 21 mohths and over, ewe lamb, and ewe over 12 and under 21 months, were won by J. E.
