Clifford arid Messrs Friedlander and Pyne) sat this morning to deal with the Vi-Mendip case, and delivered the following judgment:—"ln the matter of the appeal by .the Dannevirke 'Racing Club against the decision of the Hawke's Bay Metropolitan .Committee, reversing.the decision of that Club in awarding the stakes for the Dannevirke Handicap, run-on the 16th November, to the mare Vi, the judges are of opinion that there were no extraordinary circumstances, under in weighing in short of weight, and therefore dismiss the appeal, and order the deposit to be refunded." .
