GLADSTONE SPORTS.

(By Our Special Reporter.) The annual meeting of the Gladstone Sports Club-was,.held on Messrs J. and W. Strang's property, Gladstone, yesterday, .under the best of climatic conditions. There was a large .attendance of the general.-public from all. the .surrounding districts, A feature, of the meeting was the large number of entries for the . mounted events, which, proved to be of great interest. The cup presented by Mr D. Douglas .for the winner of 'the Hunters' Competition was won by Mr W. Strang with Wainui, Mr S. Mason's Caroline being runner-up. The secretary (Mr Gundesen) worked hard to ensure the success of the gathering. Very few accidents occurred, and those that did-happen were of a minor, character. Following are the details of the events: —
