PREMIER SHOT AT. THE ASSAILANT INSANE. (Received January 18, 8.10 a.m.) , PARIS, January 17. Gisohne, formerly a law clerk at Bayonne, fired two shots from the public gallery of the Chamber of Deputies at M. Briand, the Premier. He missed his mark, but M. Mirman, Director of Public Relief, was wounded in the leg. The would-be murderer had been discharged from the public service. Received This Morning, 12.15 o'clock. PARIS, January 18. Gisohne was dismissed from his post because "he showed signs'of • insanity. Subsequently, without cause, he fired at the British Consul at Sansebastian. Ho was thereupon confined to an asylum, but was recently released.
