THE "HOBBLE" OUT-HOBBLED.
The,"hobble" skirt, which is the •latest: creation in feminine attire, arid which: has, at length j invaded the modest home .of Masterton's society, is said to have ! b:r. introduced, to us in the dressing of -seine of the ladies of the-cast of ''The Arcadians," at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London. Now these same arbiters of. fashion have introduced a far more conspicuously daring freak in the shape of ;ai "divided" semi-skirt. This charming garment is a skirt down to the-level of the knees, from which region' ft is 'divided, ; or split,': into twoportio':-:, looking very much like a miniature pair of (we dare not' complete the ,allusiou). It is not very unlikely that some of the numerous feminine followers of the sensational will go thus far—in fact, who would dare to suggest a possible limit?
