_ <r- —— LAST YEAR'S OUTPUT. COLONIES THE BIGGEST CUSTOMERS. (Received Last Night, 9.45 o'clock.) LONDON, January 16. Lloyd's Register states that 473 steamers, of an aggregate tonnage of 1,137,738 tons; 27 sailing vessels, of 5431 tons; and 45 warships of 135,645 tons were launched in the United Kingdom last year. The tonnage launched for abroad was 223,465 tons ,or 19}- per cent. of the. output, compared with 24 ' 2-stlis per cent, in 1909. • The colonies provided the largest amount of work for ship-builders in the United Kingdom.
