NEW CHURCH 3UILDING FUND.:
The secretaries of the Floral Fete, held last November in the o!d : showgrounds at Masterton, v haye issued, a. balance sheet of receipts and expendi■turea The result is considered exceedingly satisfactory. The total receipts amounted to £3lO 18s Od. The expenditure was £47 16s 7d, leaving a profit of £263 Is sd, an increase of almost £SO on the takings of tho Foto held in the previous year. The promoters of tho Fete wish to thank the many helpers for the substantial assistance that was so willingly ' and readily given. The New Church •Building- Fund- has been -steadily growing, and now amounts in cash and promises to tlie sum of £3150. which is £3OO short of the sum the •Vestry- decided to raise before the building should be begun. There seems littlo doubt that the foundation stone will be laid in the near future.
