The reported "severe illness" in London of Mr Justice Denniston seems to have been rather an exaggeration. It appears that on the day previous to his proposed departure from England, Mr Justice DenmwioTi consulted his medical adviser as to the advisability of having a small operation performed for an old-standing trouble. It was decided to perform the operation, and the extent of its severity may be judged from the fact that he left England twelve days after oy the Ophir. Mr Justice Denniston is dye to arrive in Wellington on th> 25bh inst. ""*""• *'"■''■
