WELLINGTON, Last Night, The weather was fine for the annual meeting of the Provincial Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, yesterday afternoon. Over two thousand persons were present. There were a numberof visiting athletes. R. Opie, of .Canterbury, Avon tlie 100 yards . I 220 yards;- events. Woodger '; a competitor. . J. H. Berry, W Masterton, won the. 75 yards handicap from scratch in 7 4-ssec. In the three-mile walk, the judge disqualified three competitors, and was f hooted by a section of the public. The official time (31secs.) given for ' the 300 yards Ladies' Bracelet caused a good deal of doubt. The track was measured, and was found to be 16 yards 2 feet short. H. A. Hodge and L, McKay tied at sft 6in. in the high jump. Both then failed to beat , the standard of sft 7in. Following were the results,:- . ; v One Mile Walk.— G. Turner 1, C. J. Fitzgerald 2, F.
