CONFIDENCE IN MASTERTON.

As evidence of at least one of our business institutions and confidence in Masterton's future, the Wairarapa Fanners' ' Co-operative ' Association are pulling down their present frontage and replacing it with one thoroughly up-to-date. In place of a window frontage of 90 feet, the alterations provide for over 160 feet, including an island window, which should prove quite a novelty in Mastorton. The windows will come" to within nine inches of the pavement. The large vestibule will be tiled, also the spaces between the windows, of which there will bo eight in -all, .including two show cases. The . glass will be set in steel frames, thoroughly fly and dust proof.' The ceilings will be of steel, and properly ventilated! Such an alteration as this cannot be carried out without disorganising business, ftnd entailing a deal of work shifting stock. To obviate this as far as possible a great alteration sale will be hela, starting on Saturday, 21st January, when the whole of the stocks of drapery, clothing, boot" and crockery will be offered at prices that will ensure a great clearance. It will be an occasion well worth waiting for.*
