John Bums, Presi'dent of the Local Government Board, intends issuing "an order, on the lines of the Departmental Committee's recommendations, in favour of] inter alia, revising the distinction between able-bodied and non-able-1 bodied paupers,, and empowering the ' Guardians to give out-door relief, subject to the performance of certain tasks of work.
