The weather was fine and cool after the Jjain, and the attendance was good, for the concluding day of v the Auckland Racing Club's summer meeting. The results were:— Goodwood Handicap.— Sir Artegal 1, Soultoria 2, Tamainupo 3. Won by two lengths. Sylvia Handicap, six furlongs.— Miscount 1, Sea Pmk 2, Hemisphere 3. Won by a length. Grandstand Handicap, one mile ( and a quarter.— Waimangu I, Sedition 2, Birkdale 3. Won by a neck. Sixteenth Royal Stakes, six furlongs.— Orton 1, Culprit 2, Dearest 3. Also started.— Peirene, Formby, Countermine and Glad Tidings. Won by half a head. ■ Auckland Hurdle Race, two ■miles.— Delegate 1, Continuance 2, ROyal Day 3. Won by three lengths. 'Newmarket .Handicap, six furlongs.— Kakama 1, Gipsy Belle 2, Lady Medallist 3. Won by a length. Auckland Plate.—Danube 1, Goldfinder 2, Bridge 3 Won by a length. Grey Handicap.— Flying Soult and Aristos (dead heat) 1, Lucille 3. Scratched—Presently.
At the Invercargill meeting yesterday, the Southland ; Cup was won by Warsaw, with Field Gun and Stratagem second and; third respectively.
