A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.
TWO BOYS FALL FIFTY FEET. By Tclegruph—r'rtss Association. CHRISTOHURCH, Last Night. Two brothers named Rawlins, one six years and the other nine, were injured in a cliff accident at Redcliffs this morning. 'lnoy were on a steep hillside above Monk's Bay, when the younger boy slipped. His brother attempted to grab him, and the two fell about fifty feet to the bottom of the cliff. Both appeared at the time to be very severely injured, but a preliminary examination showed that the younger brother's ease was much the worse. The bigger boy had been badly shaken and bruised, and had sirtaincd a rather severe scalp wound. The smaller boy had his scalp badly torn, and there were fears that he had been injured internally. The little sufferers were made as comfortable •is possible, in the nearest house at Redcliffs, and word was sent to Christchurch that the ambulance was
required. Owing to the absence of anyone in authority at the Ambulance Society's office, there was a long delay in the despatch of the ambulance, but the waggon was sent from Christchurch at noon, and the boys were brought to the hospital.
