MARKING THE ANNIVERSARY.

ROME, December 29,

Work generally was stopped at Calabria to mark-the anniversary of the great earthquake. The Bishop headed a procession of people to the Messina cemetery, and the Mayor led a similar demonstration at Reggio, where he laid the foundation of a monument, in the cemetery.
