MARLBOROUGH TOURNAMENT,

BLENHEIM, Last Night,
The Marlborough Tennis Championship was continued to-day, in unsettled weather. Fisher's brilliant play was much admired. Though Miss Nunnelly and Miss Baird were beaten in the handicap doubles they showed cleverness. The results were as follow:
Men's Champion Singles.— ■ First round: W. Griffiths beat Dr Bennett, F. M. B. Fisher beat H. Anderson, H. W. Brown boat F. Wilson. Men's Champion Doubles.— First round: Griffiths Bros, beat Bennett and Anderson, F. M. B. Fisher and G. Smythe won by, default from M. Wiffen and 0. Prouse.
Ladies' Singles Championship.—. First round: Miss E. Travel's beat Miss E. Ledger, Miss R. Wellwood beat Miss Thomson, Miss Baird beat Mies D.Bell.
Ladies' Doubles Championship.—First round: Miss Brewster and Miss Simpson beat Mis Maginnity and Miss Bell, Miss Butter worth and Miss Ledger beat Mrs Menlove and Mrs Van ..*sche.
Combined Doubles Champion ship. —Miss Baird and >H. Parker beat Mrs Waddy and H. Anderson, Miss K. Xmmelly and H. W. Brown beat Mrs C. P. Hulme and L. Griffiths.
Men's Handicap Singles.— First grade, (first round): Crowes beat Dr Bennett, H. Brown (owes 10) beat M .Wiffen (30); F. M. B '.Fisher (owes 20) beat E. Griffiths (20); G. Didsbury(o) beat E. F. Wilson (10); Maddox (38) won by defamo from Peacock (owes 2uj.
Men'.s Singles. Second grade (first round): .1. Horton (15) beat S. Mogridge (20); Jenkins (10), beat Bradmore (scr.); Jackson (5) beat Menlove (10).
Men's Handicap Doubles.— First round: Brown and F. Wilson (5) beat J. Horton and T. Horton (35), Crewes and Fathers (25) beat Pattie and S. Paul ,--,, Smythe and F. M. B. Fisher (owe 20) beat M.
