THE MASTERTON SEAT.
It would appear that there is a strong probability of another Opposition candidate in the person of Mr A. H. Herbert, of Eketahuna, contesting the Masterton seat. It need hardly be said that, with three candidates in the field, the chances of an Oppositionist being returned would be exceedingly remote. The representatives of the Opposition Party in the Forty-Mile Bush claim that they have not been consulted in the choice of a candidate. It would be well, in the circumstances, if the organiser of the Reform Party were to visit the district and secure a-tho-rough test of the feeling of representative sympathisers from the various centres. If possible only one candidate should bo run, and he should feel that he has the undivided support of Oppositionists.
