AUCKLAND MISSION BAND.
Tlje Auckland Central Mission Band commenced their tour of the Wairarapa, at the Masterton Town Hall last evening, before only a small audience. The Band, under : the capable direction of Mr Burmand, rendered their selections in a most capable manner, and were rewarded with unstinted applause. The vocal and musical items were excellently rendered, particularly the musical sketches by Mr T. T. Garland, he having to submit to a unanimous encore on both his appearances.,. The detailed programme is as follows: March, "Independentia," Band; "Hymn 30," Band; cornet solo, Bandsman J. Strong; musical sketch, Mr T. T. Garland; bass solo, Handsman W. vjrossley; vocal solo, Bandsman Mabesley; selection, "Gems, of Evergreen Memory," Baud; march, "New Colonial," Band; euphonium solo, "Death of Nelson," Bandsman Mtmro; recitation, "Siege of Orakau," Bandsman C. Hughes; Fantasia, "Jolly Coppersmith," Hand; monologue, Mr T. T. Garland ; waltz, "Woodland Whispers." Band.
