AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The entertainments given by Messrs I Thompson and Payne each evening | during the holidays have been greeted with packed houses. On Monday night and also again last evening scores had to be refused admission, every seat having been taken long before eight o'clock. The programme certainly merited the support given it. A better series of pictures has never been seen in Master ton, there being a wide range of excellent subjects to suit all tastes. The dramas were a delightful lot, two in bardcular, "A Salutory Lesson," and "The Broken Symphony being exceptionally meritorious, while the comics and scenics were splendid. Each film was rounds of applause, thus testifying to its popularity. The current programme will be shown for the last time this evening.
