BANK DIRECTORS ARRETTED. (Received Lsist Night. 11.10 o'clock.) LISBON. JWmher 27. Twelve directors of the Portuguese Land and Mortgage (Sank hiwe been arrested, also Senor Lucrin-uo Castro, the leader of the Progress) re Party, who acted as the board's trustee, for alleged defalcations to a total of £-100,000. Castro, who is suffering from paralysis, did -not appear at court, and was allowed to remain at home, bail amounting to ten million being allowed. The money is being raised by four of his friends. The directors were bailed out for £4OOO each.
