RIFLE SHOOTING.
WANGANUI MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. WANGANUI, Last Night. The Wanganui • and West Coast Rifle Association meeting commenced at the Putiki range to-day, with record entries. The Wanganui match was won by Sergeant Blancliett (Taranaki Guards), with a score of 68; LanceCorporal Hunt (Post and Telegraph), Rifleman Feast (Opaki), and Rifleman MeLachlan (Petone) 67. The Taranaki Match was won by Corporal Given (Wellington City Rifles), with a score of 47, the next being Rifleman Willoughby (Gladstone), 45; Corporal Cook (Palmerston North Rifles), 45; Lance-Cor-poral Hunt (Zealandia Rifles), 44. Among those who secured £1 were Rifleman Cameron (Opaki), iviileman Hyde (Opaki) 43, Rifleman Feast (Opaki) 42. Sergeant Davies (Taranaki Rifles) 49, was top in the Wellington Mat.ch. The following are the leading aggregates for the day's shooting:— MeLachlan (Petone),' 155; N. Willoughby (Gladstone), 154; G. Hyde (Opaki), 153; J. Guy (Kaponga), 152; R. J. King wpaki), 150; W. Winslade (Opaki), 149; G. Halliday (Karori), 149; W. Feast (Opaki), 149.
