AUCKLAND MISSION BAND.
VISIT TO WAIRARAPA. Considerable interest Is being taken in the approaching visit to Masterton of the Auckland Central Mission Band. ,' The band, which is composed of picked instrumentalists, will arrive in Materton on Wednesday, December 28th, and will commence a tour of the whole of the Wairarapa townships in the local Town Hall the same evening. An excellent glee party will accompany the Band, and this will also help to entertain the large audiences that are expected to attend the perform* ances of this up-to-date- combination. The itinerary of the tour is as follows :—Masterton, December 28th, and January Ist and 4th; Carterton, January Ist (afternoon), and 2nd; Feathonston, December 29th; Maryborough, December 30; Greytown, December 31st (afternoon); Eketahuiia, December 3rd. On New Year's Day a grand picnic has been arranged to be held at Taumata Island, Lower Valley, when a, large attendance is expected, a real enjoyable day's outing being promised. Drags for the picnic will leave the Masterton Post Office.at nine o'clock sharp on the morning of New Year's Dav.
