AMUSEMENTS.

NELLIE STEWART IN "NELL GWYNNE." N'ext Saturday's production of "Sweet Nell of Old Dairy," and the welcome re-appearance in Mastertou of that gifted artiste, Nellie Stewart, threaten to surpass in success the initial performance. The box plan demands immediate attention on the part of intending patrons. Nellie Stewart has probably never done anything better that her wonderful impersonation of the lovable Orange Girl. Her successes have been many, from comic opera to drama, but critics all pronounce her present role as surpassing all others. "Sweet Nell of Old Dairy" possesses to a degree a charm and power that time or- newpieces cannot efface or stale. The l ichness of its dramatic setting and the quick succession of enthralling incidents are major factors in its success. Above all others it is the one piece that local playgoers would have desired in which to see this clever artiste and popular idol. The drama will be produced on the same scale of magnificence as made Mr Geo. Musgrove's reputation in England, America and Australia, not one single detail being absent. Mr Harcourt Beatty will be seen again in the "Witty Monarch."
