MASTERTON GASWORKS.
THE MONTHLY REPORT.
In bis monthly report to the Masterton "Borough Council last evening. Mr J. W. Blackn.au. manager of the gasworks, stated that during the past two months seven new customers had been connected up. The sales of cookers and fitters for theMwo months amounted to £286 Os 4d. Since the commencement of the financial year, forty-eight new cookers had been been fixed. The dismantling of the disused plant at the old gasworks was feeing accomplished as opportunity offered. The manufacturing plant was in good order, but the roof of the retort i;ou9e was in a very bad condition, and he recommended that it be repaired. He estimated the cost at £ls.
The report v>as adopted, and the Mayor was authorised tn inspect the retort house.
