BOILERMAKERS' STRIKE SETTLED.
Received December 15, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, December 11. The voting of the boilermakers oa the question of acceptance or rejection of the agreement concluded at the Edinburgh 'conference resulted as fol'ows: For acceptance 13,715 .Against 1,290 Majority for acceptance 12.425 Work will accordingly be resumed to-morrow.
WELSH COLLIERY STRIKE. Received December 15, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, December 14. The Miners' Conference at Cardiff has decided that the A berdare men must resume work immediately pending the Conciliation Board's consideration of their grievances. The local leaders are considering whether tney shall advise the men to cbey. It is estimated that the extra police sent to Wale 9 in connection with the recent strike will cost Glamorganshire £60,000 sterling. THE ADELAIDE STRIKE. Received December 15, 10.10 a.m. ADELAIDE, December 15. The conference between the employers ar.d employees in the transport trade sat till after midnight, and then ended in a deadlock. Serious trouDle is expected.
