CRICKET.

TO-DAY'S MATCH. Great interset is being taken in the cricket match Munawatu v. Wairarapa, for the Lord Hawke Cup, which commences on the Park Oval this. morning, at 10 o'clock. The Manawatu team, which arrived last night, is a very strong one, and the local men will have to hustle if they want to win. The adjournment for lunch is fixed for 1.30, so as to enable business people to see a part of the match. A charge will not be made at the gate, but a collection will be taken up on the ground, and it is to be hoped the public attending will respond liberally, as the funds of the Cricket Association are reported to be at a very low ebb. The Manawatu cricket team which is to play Wairarapa on the Park Oval to-day arrived by train from Palmerston North last night. They were met at the railway station by members of the Management Committee of the Cricket Association, and driven to the Commercial Club, where the yare staying. The teams are as follow: Manawatu.
