MASTERTON TRUST LANDS TRUST.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting oi the Masterton -Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening, there being pre-sent-Messrs T. Wagg, chairman, T. B. Michell, D. Caselberg, E. G. Eton, O. Pragnell, and W. H. Jackeon. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs C. E. Daniell and R. Krahagen. The Very Rev. Dean McKenna applied for the balance of the grant for St. Patrick's Schcol.—lt was decided that the application be granted. Mr A. R. Bunny. Trust solicitor, asked for a plan of part Town Acre 72, latey acquired by the Trust, in exchange for a "Supreme Courthouse site, so that the conveyance between the Trust and the King might be completed.—The Secretary was instructed to procure a plan from Mr Rawson, and the Chairman was authorised to affix the seal of the Trust to the document, when complete. A letter was read from the Police Department,'stating.that there was no objection to the 'Jrust removing the late residence of the Sergeant of Police.

Mr A. 0. Levien informed the Trustees that the Druids had purchased the unexpired lease of the Fire Brigade station, and asking permission to make certain alterations.—The matter was left in the hands of the Building Committee, with power to act. A letter was read from Hayward Enterprises, Ltd., objecting to the legal charge for drawing up the lease of the Town Hall.— Thematter was left in the hands of the Cnairman, with power to act. The tender of Mr J. Prentice, at £ll 10s 6d, was accepted for repsirs to a cottage occupied by Mr H. Anderson.

Accounts amounting to' £lO5 14s lid were passed for payment.

The audited balance-sheet was received from the Audit Department, and ordered to be printed and circulated.
