As compared with last closing rates prices are lower about 5 per cent. Scoured Merino super higher about 5 to 7J per.cent. Cros3bied scoured. Average current London values of the undernoted descriptions of New Zealand greasy wool.:—Good Merino 13£ d, medium Merino llfcd, inferior Merino 6£d, fine crossbred 13Ad, medium crossbred 12d, coarse crossbred 1 OJd (40's), coarse crossbred, 9*d (3(s's). Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report—At our Palmerston North sale on 'lhursday, Bth inst., a good entry of cattle came forward. Bidding for all classes was keen and a clearance was made at satisfactory prices, only a small yarding of £heep was offered, and sales were effected at the following quotations Mixed two-tooths, lis | sd, two-tooth wethers lis 6d, woolly I hoggets 14s, ewes and lambs, all counted. 9a 6d; three year bullocks £6 0s 6d to £6 2s, two-year steers £4 73 6d, 18-months steers £3 lis to £3 15s, yearling steer 3 £2 13s 6d to £3 4s, yearling to 18-months grade Jersey heifers £4 10s yearling heifers £3 Is 6d, to £3 125,6 d.
