SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

INCIDENTAL EXPENSES. The Secretary for Education has forwarded to the Wellington Education Board a copy of draft regulations defining the incidental expenses ol School Committees under the Education Act. These [may include expenditure on cleaning, heating, lighting, grounds, small repairs to buildings, and stationery used in schools, and the salary of a caretaker. If provision has been made for the cost of all the items specified, School Committee allow ages may be expended, as the Board shall direct, for school libraries, pictures for school walls, asphalting and other improvements. The draft regulations will be considered at a meeting of the Board on Tuesday next.
