AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. Another large audience witnessed the final screening at the Foresters' Hall last evening of the current programme, when each picture met with a hearty reception. Some splendid subjects have been selected for presentation this evening* amongst them being—"Peg Woffington," a drama taken from Charles Reade's famous novel, "Estrellita," a military drama dealing with France's invasion of Portugal in 1807; "Her First Appearance," a stirring story of stage life; "Hamlet," a favourite Shakespearian drama; "The Ranger's Bride." a tale of a cowboy s marriage; "The Revolution in Portugal," showing exciting incidents in connection with the recent revolt there; and "From New York to Genoa," a splendid scenic. There is also a good range of comic, instructive and scenic films, making in all a capital programme. The usual free matinee for children will place on Saturday.
