AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
MASTERTON CLUB. A Committee meeting of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held at the Secretary's office last evening. The Secretary reported tnat arrangements for the Club's sports meeting for the 27th inst. were well in hand. Several new members were elected, 'lhe Club's membership in now close on 100, and active members are being enrolled daily. Several prominent Wellington pedestrians have intimated their intention of competing at the Club's sports. Arrangements were made for the conduct of running the finals for Mr D. Caselberg's trophy on Thursday next. The following members are eligible to compete for the finals in the following distances:—100 Yards.-. J. Berry scr, A. Hall 10yds, H. Langdon 10yds, K. Messenger 9yds, G. Scrirageour .11yds, W. A., Peed 3yds, J, Bradbury Byds.' 200 Yards—A. Boyd 18yds, L. Boyd 18yds, K. Messenger 14yds, P. holder 12yds. 440 Yards.—W. Morris 35yds, R. Messenger 25yds, H. Langdon 35yds. Competitors please note, that entries for the Club's sports and for the amateur events at the Maurice ville sports and the Wairarapa Caledonian Society's meeting close on Saturday, the 17th inst.
