MOTHER MARY JOSEPH AUBERT.
The trioute paid to Mother Mary Joseph Aubert in Wellington on Saturday, on the occasion of her jubilee, was as timely as it -was welllee, was as timely as it was welldeserved; Possibly there is no individual in the Dominion at the.present time whose name stands out so prominently as -a humanitarian and public benefactor as the philanthropic Mother Aubert. i.''or fifty years she has laboured among the poor, the sick, and the afflicted, tone has sacrificed home and comfort, and gone info the hidden recesses of the country that she might assist the weak and distressed. Her work of love has been performed in her own way, without hope of reward, and without, ostentation. How much humanity owes her will probably never be known. Her name, however, will De written large pon the tablets of time as that of a good woman and a devoted sister.
