NAPIER WOOL SALES.
NAPIER, Last Night. The second of the series of Napier wool sales was hold to-day, when 12,000 odd hales were offered to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was spirited, more especially for strong wools, and Bradford buyers were large operators. Prices for finer wools were a shade lower than at the previous sales. Two lots of super halfbred realised 13d, being the highest price obtained. • Fine crossbred averaged from lOd to lid. The top price for halfbreds was I2d, or a farthing less than at last sale. Americans were not buying. The classing of some varieties of wool unfavourably affected the price.
