To-night, in the Town Hall, "Lovers' Lane/' by.€lyde Fitch, will be "performed under the Allan Hamilton, Harry PHmmer, ReynoidsSjjDennißton management. Miss Lizette Parkes will appear as Simplicity Johnson, and Mr Harry Plimmer as the Rev. Thomas Singleton, the production of the new play will mark the return of Mrs Herbert Brough to the foot] lights. Mrs Brough, who has been on a trip to England, arrived in Sydney some few weeks back, and was immediately engaged 1 by the new firm to play the part of Mrs Woodbridge in the production, and it is needless to say she filled the character most admirably.' The company comprises several Australian artistes, notably Miss Lizette Parkes, who gained a host of admirers in the Dominion some short time ago in Peter Pan. For Mr Harry Plimmer no introduction is necessary. Mr Reynolds Denniston plays the only uncongenial character in the piece, viz, that of axlivorced husband, and amongst the numerous caste, other well-known favourites in the production are Miss Alice Deorwyn, Miss Beatrice Usher, Miss Valentine Sidney, and a newcomer from India, Miss Marie le Croissette. She is a character actress who has spent most of her time in England an i in the East, and is well-known for her clever impersonations. The production will be well mounted and staged and some beautiful scenery has'been painted by Mr Harry Whaite, especially for the third and fourth acts, in which a wealth of autumn foliage is changed into spring, with fruit blossoms in profusion. The box plan is at Miss Rive's, and day sales are also now on sale. To-morrow night "The Passing of the Third Floor Back" will be staged.
