WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
MEETINU OF DIRECIOKS.
A meeting of Directors of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held in the Dominion Hall on Satur- j day afternoon, Mr Alex McLeod, President, in the chair. Messrs J. B. McKenzie and W. Sellar were appointed delegates to the Wairarapa Athletic Association. It was decided to engage the services of the Masterton Municipal Brass Band for the sports and concert. The resignations of Mes3r3 Campbell and C. A. Tabuteau were cepted, and Messrs C. A. Cameron, John Cross, J. Georgeson, and W. Gillespie vere elected members of the Society. The following sports official 3 were appointed:—Superintendent, Mr A. McLeod; assistant superintendents, Messrs J. H. Pauling and Jas. McKenzie; referee, Mr J. H. Pauling; timekeepers, Messrs A. Henderson, G. R. Sykes, E. H. Waddington, | and D. Walsh; handicappers: quoits, j J. H. Pauilng and T. Wyeth; saw ing and chopping, H. Wolfe; running, etc, Ulic Shannon; starters, Messrs W. D. Watson, R.Gray and 4. Donaldson; call steward, Mr P. Gilbert. Rum.ing events: Judges, J. Georgeson, T. Wyeth, W. I. Falconer, J. L. Murray, D. McLachlan, H. U'Leary, T. Riddell; stewards, H. J. Dagg, J. C. Ewington, J. B. McKenzie, G. Stewart, and T. W. McKenzie Wrestling, putting stone, tossing caber, vaulting and jumping: Judges, Messrs G. Heron, F. W. H. Kummer, A. Mutne; stewards, Messrs A. Collie, F. Day, D. Guild. G. McHattie. Piping, dancing and costumes: Judges, dancing, left over pending replies; piping, Messrs M. S. Ingram, P. McGregor, and J. Waddington, T. Wyeth, J. McHattie. Protest committee, Messrs A. McLeod, J. H. Pauling, J. B. McKenzie. The following recommendations from the Concert Committee were unanimously agreed to:—That pipe band, under the auspices of the Society, be formed and applications for membership invited, applications to close with the Secretary on Saturday, December 3rd, at 1 p.m.; that ladies he admitted as members of the Society at 10s per annum. Messrs A. McLeod. J. McHattie, E. E. Chamberlain, and J. H. Pauling were appointed a special ground committee to confer with the Amateur Athletic Club and make suitable arrangements re fencing the Park Oval. It was decided to register the Society under the "Unclassified Society's Act," and Messrs A, McLeod, J. H. Pauling, J. B. McKenzie, E. H. Waddington and W. Sellar were appointed a committee to revise the rules and report.
