AMUSEMENTS.

A NOVEL ATTRACTION. It i,'! difficult nowadays to find anything in the amusement world strong enough to excite any unusual interest, but when the lucky one docs find the "goods" his enterprise and costly experiments bring him golden returns. In tin's connection the well-known Tnylor-Carrington management have been fortunate enough to arrange with John Fuller and Sous for the sole New Zealand rights of presentation of a pictorial dramatization of Clarke's delightful story, "For the Term of His Natural Life." This splendid realistic picturedr.ama cost over £IOOO in the making, but it has paid for itself ten times over, for it has been, touring New Zealand with phenomenal success. In Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin hundreds were turned away nightly, and the management paid one and sometimes two return visits. This picturedrama'was the cause of the management being fined for over-crowding the largest threare in Auckland, a very unusual occurrence. The TaylorCarrington are proverbially lucky theatrical speculators, and in securing "His Natural LU'e" they have struck a real bonanza. Popular prices will be charged. The season is strictly limited to one night, next Tuesday, in the Town Hall. Seats may be booked at Miss Rives r without extra charge. THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. The present programme at the Foresters' Hall has apparently found the public taste, judging by the large audience that attended the hall again last evening. Few more thrilling dramas than "The Incendiary Foreman" have been produced by means of cinematography. This film gives a vivid picture of a big fire where the loss amounted to thousands of pounds, through the destruction of large buildings. Rounds of applause greeted this splendid picture. One of the most beautiful films which the firm have ever shown was the charming fairy story, "The Golden Rose," The scenic studies and comics are also particularly good. The usual children's matinee will commence at 2 o'clock this afternoon, and the present programme will be shown for the last time to-night. On Monday evening some special American Biograph Company's novelties will be presented, and also one of the fa\ourite "Foolshead" comics.
