WELLINGTON, Last Night,
The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow :
The weather has been very warm and rain has fallen in both northern and southernmost districts, and also in Hawke's Bay last night. Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed, but a gale has 'been experienced in Fovea ux Strait.
Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds, and the barometer will probably fall slowly everywhere. Warm and humid conditions are probable generally, with unsettled weather both in the extreme north and south, and aboxit the East Cane.
