COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale in their Mangahao yards yesterday, when they offered a fair entry of cattle to a small attendance of buyer?, owing no doubt to the continuous, though welcome, rain which fell during the morning. No sheep came forward. We quote:—Yearling steers, £2'lss to £2 18s; forward cows, £4 8s to £4 10s; empty heifers, £3 to £3 4s; yearling bulls, £2 6s. Our next sale will be held on Tuesday, -November 15th, in the P.F.A. yards. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows- At Pahiatua on Tuesday, the Bth inst, sheep did not come forward, probably on account of the wet day, but we had a good yarding of cattle, which met a good entry, and we made a good clearance. Quotations— Fat cows, £4 10s to £6 17s 6d; dairy cows, £s'to £6 lOr "'cows and calves. £3 17s to £4 7s 6d; empty cows, £2 18s to £3 lis 6d; springing heifers, £4 15s to £5 6s; empty heifers, £3 10s 6d; yearling heifers, £2 lis 6d; yearling steera, £2 10s to £2 15s; bulls. £4 7s 6d to £5 10s.
