EFFECTS OF NON-FITTED MANGOLDS.

I The death of a number of cattle, | attributed to their haying been fed with non-pitted mangold roots at a late period of the season, has been brought under the notice of the Live Stock and Meat Division of the Agricultural Department. Un- ' fortunately there was no opportunity to make an investigation into the I matter as early as was wished, but ', an examination disclosed no apparent ' cause other than dietetic to account for the death of the animals. The \ investigation is now being conducted by the Veterinary officers of the I Division, ir. conjunction with Mr B. I C. Aston, Agricultural Chemist of ( the Dominion Laboratory.
