«, , o —>~- In connection with the complaints made by wool-growers in Masterton and elsewhere, that wool not grown by them is sold under their, woolbrands, and the representation that provision for the registration of woolbrands and protection of their rightful owners should be made by the Government, it is pointed out by the Agricultural Department that under the Patents, Designs,- and Trademarks Act a brand for wool may be registered, and a penalty imposed for its being improperly used in the Dominion.
