CHKISTCBUKCH, Last Night. 'lhe New Zealand Cup meeting opened at Riccartcn to-day, in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance, including Lord and Lady Islington and suite? Hon. J. Carroll and several members of Parliament.

Ihe course was in excellent order, though a trifle hard for tender-legged horses. ihe racing generally wa3 interesting, and the win of Bridge in the Cup was very popular.
